"Plant a seed . . . Read!" is 1999 Book Week Theme
The theme for this year's National Children's Book Week, celebrated November 15-21, 1999, is "Plant a seed . . . Read!"
The theme is meant to emphasize the idea that it is never too early to encourage children to read. This year's poster displays the theme with an illustration be Eric Carle.
